Does anyone have the measurements of the foam liner that is inside the air cleaners and/or a K&N or similar type replacement air filter that fits and retains the original look? Curious if someone has found something besides what WW offers.

I too would be interested if a replacement other than WW offers is available as well. |

| DU-0202 is the K&N part number. The filters are for a Ducati motorcycle. This information was passed on by another helpful Samba member. |

I must have an old set up. There are foam inserts in mine and the lid says to clean them with oil. Those kn filters are kinda expensive. _________________ John

Reminder to check your heads when they arrive. Every valve leaks on the ones I received. Took me way to long to track down the issue and I'm kinda grumpy about it ...

| I think this was a problem from the very beginning. I read a few posts that complained about it. The first thing I did when I got my WW heads was to get the valves lapped and make sure they sealed properly. The other issues I have heard about is the carbs in their kit need to be rebushed out of the box. I don't know if that is still the case. I went with a pair of original Solex carbs which I had rebushed anyway. |

| A few things I found when putting mine together was the manifolds where not square from both carb and head surfaces. I was having issues setting the carbs, I sanded the manifolds using a flat piece of glass and sandpaper, this helped but still having issues. I measured the jets, one main jet was bigger than the other even though stamped the same. Some guys have ran the carbs out of the box with no issues. Other issue, the float was sticking on one of the carbs, I swapped the out with the plastic Solex floats and no more sticking. I sent them to Joe and problems with the carbs was fixed. Been running the set up for 6 years now on daily driving. |

Mine came with the foam inserts, did not like them. I like K&N products so this just made sense for me and yes, a bit expensive for these small filters. Then again what isn’t expensive for a 36hp. |
