Anyone locking their roof racks? Know of any way to secure roof racks with a lock? They’ve become so pricey thinking might be good to add a lock but can’t find anything suitable. _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

Depends on how it attaches to the roof/drip rails. Post a photo, please. _________________ Current Fleet:

It will depend on the thread of the stud your wingnut uses, but something like this one can probably work:

You replace the wingut with this assembly. The cylindrical cup goes on, then the brass nut, then the lock cylinder covers it, topped by a rain-proof rubber cover. _________________ Current Fleet:

Thanks Phil, I’ll check the threads on the rack. Exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

To remove the lock, you will want a thin deep socket. I have one that barely fits in the cup, and use a short extension and T-handle I keep in the glovebox. _________________ Current Fleet:
