HAH!
Couple years ago we saw a Neil Young cover band in a barn in Maine.
This time last year we saw the actual Neil Young at Farm Aid / SPAC. Mind you, SPAC is a Live Nation venue and they were pimping Farm Aid hard. $21 Bud Light, anyone? I call that gettin' swindled and pimped, I call that gettin' tricked by business...
Mr. Young made it clear he's been doing this for over 50 years, that he's the GOAT and we should all applaud him for merely tuning his guitar.
It's better to burn out than fade away.
Point is the cover band we saw was demonstrably better than the real thing. You can't go wrong when you play with conviction, as if you actually give a shit about what you're playing.

โwho is the greatest/your favorite rock singer?โ
I believe Scotty was asking who one considers to be the greatest rock singer or favorite rock singer. Many many forms of rock over the years. Oprea, funk, soul, R & B, hip hop, bluegrass, and many other great genre singers are not considered rock singers. _________________ Keep on Busin'

I have come to understand the way most people perceive music is different from the way I perceive music. I'm in the minority who usually knows what all the instruments are, who the musicians are, what they're using for amps... even what speakers are in their stacks.
Most people hear the vocal(s) and the beat. They can't tell you why one "guitar" is bigger than the others.

By original rockabilly standards anything with more than a tiny bit of overdrive is just noise. But then many of the old blues recordings are by no means high fidelity.
As far as genre goes, the lines are very very blurry. Classic Rock radio plays a lot of music I don't categorize as rock. I don't even consider rap to be music. Except for Rage Against the Machine that is.
I'll play your game. Rock and roll GOAT, played Stones, Zeppelin and Foghat before those guys were in diapers?
Robert Johnson.

Funny you should say that. My wife and I saw CSN&Y in Vegas at the MGM years ago. The other 3 guys (yes, David Crosby was still alive ) looked like they were just going through the motions. Neil was actually rocking and was putting on a show. It was a great concert, in no small part due to Mr. Young's efforts. |

Nice!! I was wondering who enjoyed her greatness. They donโt call her the โQueen of Rock and Rollโ for no reason. Some credit her for breaking the racial barrier in rock music. Legendary.
I enjoy reading all the favorite rock singers of the samba members. No wrong answers here. _________________ Keep on Busin'
