Busy putting in a late model t4,2 litre into my bus Anyone got an idea of where and how much clearancing there is to be done on my late t1 bellhousing to fit a t4 228mm flywheel/p plate assembly.have the late sleeve type t/o bearing transmission installed in my bus.

I would look into getting a 210mm or 215mm flywheel. The clearancing required to fir that 228mm unit is substantial. So much so that I would be worried about the strength of the bell housing that's left. . . A 210/215 unit will bolt right in with NO grinding AND you will be able to use the same starter that you already have in your splitty (I'm assuming you have a splitty anyway).
