Good Morning. I have an antique British phone booth (cast iron, about 1200 lbs) that I'm planning on selling. Anybody familiar with them?
Thanks,
Dave |

the tardis is a police phone box and completely different from the red K6 public phone box
I'm familiar with them as I'm in the uk...they usually stank of urine and the handset reeked of stale tobacco _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

Dave has a completely different thing, and having helped move one myself long ago I pity his back, so incredibly heavy...., here's one from Ebay:

yes, the next village has one full of cookery books and novels from the 1980s
in certain areas they used to be an early version of tinder too...

They are cool and sellers list them on FBMP for a pretty penny. I normally see them outside British themed pubs or restaurants which makes sense. Not sure that I’d drop that type of coin on a decorative item for my home or garden.
Any pics that you can add would be cool. As with anything. Nicer models can warrant a higher price. Crappy ones can’t. |

Thanks Guys (well most of you) for your comments!
It's disassembled right now but I'll get some photos in. I have all the original posters, light and hardware. Instead of an original phone from the period - I have what I believe is called a "pub phone" from a later time (60's?) in red and the only part I am missing is the floor. With its weight 1200 lbs. or so- shipping will be an issue! |

Not sure of what price I will ask because I've noticed there is such a wide price range for like booths on the net.
$233 won't make it! |
