I was wondering if anyone has dimensions and detailed pictures of a package tray?
I'd like to try to make my own package tray.

I dont have that, but I know of someone that has a wicker one, under the dash. His was mounted a bit to low, such that the tip of the driver's shoe hits the bottom of the wicker shelf when using the brake or clutch pedals. It is VERY annoying, and the wicker got torn from the tip of his shoe brushing on it.
My advice is mount your shelf with plenty of clearance over the pedals, consider some drivers may have big feet, or wear pointy shoes, cowboy boots, big work boots. Leave lots of space. Some folks push the pedals with their toes, other folks with their heels. You should make clearance for these situations. It is also a safety concern if ones tip of shoe hits the shelf when needing to brake!

A few years ago a member of my car club used a roll of floral wire & cheap duct tape from Wally-World to get a surprisingly accurate template of the contours under the dash of his bug to make a package tray DIY-style.
He found some wicker type shelves at a craft store & fashioned a fairly cool & functional tray.
Didn't hold up too well but the 2nd one has been coated with clear stay from a can.

I used that floral wire to make a template for the sides of an under dash console but left the paper template at a buddy's garage & got trashed. ARGH ...

Outside the box can work ... good luck

What kind of shelf are you wanting images and measurements of? The bambus, or the Kamei?
