Yeah, I bought it! Here's a quick vid on inspecting on Day#1.
The body is in excellent shape with minimal rust. This is going to be fun, but need to make sure I wear my dust mask!

Hey guys, I'm starting to think about my options on lowering.. Can you get a decent ride if dropping by two notches on the torsional springs?
Also, what's the recommended tire size if not using drop spindles and using stock rims?
AI says Front: 155/60R15 (overall diameter ~23 inches; provides ~2.4 inches of drop equivalent while fitting the narrow 4.5-inch rim width without rubbing lock-to-lock).
Thanks! |

Cool car.
I really like the interior lol!
Anyways be careful when you remove the stuff out of the car, make sure you wear a quality n95 dust mask or respirator. There are some really nasty diseases that can be spread by the dust from mice droppings.
Looking forward to seeing more of this car. |

Hey Todd, heck yeah, I have a box of the N95 masks! I've needed them for sure!
I've made quite a bit of progress. I'll post up some pics, but here's the vid.

Well, I bought two Continental ContiProContact 155/60R15 74T BSW
Man, I hope they fit well after lowering 2 to 3". Good price, only $77 (w/o tax)

I would seriously consider just getting a new wiring harness from ISPWest. Even if what's there hasn't been messed with, even if you get it all working, it's still 56 years old. Nothing ruins the driving experience quite like chasing electrical gremlins.

Thanks for the feedback. Still debating over it.. |

They should fit with no problem. My son is running 195-50's on 8 spoke rims and dropped at least 3 splines. He has to slow down for RR crossings or the beam will hit. I've been running 195-60's on some vintage 36 spoke Shelby rims since 2006 (2 inner splines down in front), and they only rub when doing a full lock with 3 passengers in the car.
I'm also running 205 65-15's on the rear to keep the gearing close to stock. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
