Here's another shot of the balancing Herbie, though they must have drawn in the left front tire, because it was missing on the actual car! Note the angle of the bottom of the door.
The first step was to cut a right door from a donor body.
I like to recycle old models.
Next, I cut the door opening in the body.
Body work and primer. Note cut of door!
Chassis modifications start
Fifth wheel fashioned as a swing-down.
Looks like we're in business! _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Thanks!
I don't want to say that model was done a while ago, but ... _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

Hydraulic Herbie is almost done.
Cut door and missing (53).
Support rails fashioned from a roll bar. Note rolling caster.
Hydraulics behind the seats.
Aside from a few finishing details, that's just about it. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

You’re telling me that – now?
You know I like figures, and sometime they really enhance the impact of the model. Think of the Dave Deal kits. But they can always be added later if you find something to work with.
All that aside – nice job on your 3-wheeled Herbie! |

It's a FMS ROCHOBBY 1:12 The People's Car RC Model. Put that in Google and many will come up. It underwent my special modification course.
Here is a FB link to the build:
