On Sunday October 16th Beaver Springs Dragway held their annual Fall “Bug Meet”. With cool temperatures and a constant breeze the drag racing scene was lined up and ready to race. In the Lighting Bug class Bruce Ridgeway from Nokesville, VA who is coming off of a win at the recent North vs South Event once again was in the winners circle. Bruce was up against Dale Adams from Annapolis, MD in one of the closest races of the day. Bruce and Dale dialed in a 7.00et and Bruce took the win with a 7.03et against Dales 7.05et. The Lighting Bug class once again had the crowd on its feet in anticipation to see which win light would come on.
In the Modified Bug class it was Karen Mathewson making the long drive from Owego, NY to claim the victory against a redlighting Chad Mowery from York, PA. Karen dialed in a 10.49et and ran a 10.50et against Chad’s 10.06et on a 10.10 dial in.
The Stage was set for the Top Bug race which paired Bruce Ridgeway against Karen Mathewson. Bruce took the win with a 7.05et on a 7.04 dial in and Karen ran a 10.94et on a 10.90 dial in. Congratulations on Bruce doubling up at the 2005 Beaver Springs Fall Bug Meet.
Taking the Low ET Honors was David Grayson from Middleburg, VA had his turbocharged Vw Dragster in attendance as well and ran a ground shaking 4.947et at 137.90mph.

Spring Bug Meet: Sunday May 7
Fall Bug Meet: Sunday October 15
