I'm hoping someone can solve this for me before my bus goes up in flames. Here's some info: 48 idfs, mechanical fuel pump, split bus. The left side carb leaks only after its run then shut off. Fuel drips down off the accelerator rod between the barrels. I've had it apart several times, set the float several times, replaced the needle valve once, cursed more times than I can count. I don't know if this is related, but the carb also gurgles after its shut down. Kind of a siphoning sound. Starts and runs good. I know there must be someone out there who knows these carbs inside and out. Thanks.

From the description it sounds like the diaphram is ripped. I'd replace that and see what happens. Hope this helps.
