This 74 is my first with the hump floor pan. Could anyone please tell me how to remove the front seats?
Thanks - Jim |

Look underneath the seats, there should be a pin and a cotter pin mechanism on each seat, you need to pull that cotter pin and take the pin out, sometimes a screwdriver is handy, once thats out, you need to take the spring off, then you slide your seat all the way towards the front and it should come off, this whole process takes about 5 minutes for both seats, let me know if you have any trouble, its easier to look at it to know what I mean. |

Correct me if I'm wrong; but on a 74 Standard the seats come out the back.
Remove the end caps on the seat rails if necessary (most are already gone). Then you hold the seat release mechanism back (located forward of the e-brake) while simultaneously pulling the seat toward the rear of the car. You really need 3 hands... _________________

Don't forget to pull down the safety clip at the front rail. _________________ Glenn
