Any ever seen these things?
My 69' single cab came with them and I'm just wondering how rare they are- I've never seen another set. They would be EASY to reproduce for someone with a little fiberglass kit for molding. Seriously, you would not believe what these do for you on a hot summer day. They're amazing.
If there was enough interest I would see about having someone make these or make some next summer when I have time.

I dont know why I posted this without the pictures...I'll take some and be back.

That's awesome!

Would really come in handy down here in Texas. Do you have fresh air fans in there as well?

No...no fresh air fans. They would be cool for standing still...but when you're going down the road these things blast relatively cool air right at you.
It's a lifesaver literally.
I may contact a couple people about making some...seems like the market would be HUGE (there are ALOT of bay windows out there).
How much could something like this go for?

i guess that it would depend on the type of fabrication? I would throw down $20~30 to give 'em a shot.

It's just a matter of those who want to keep their busses original.

My 73 is such a hack job I wouldn't care. I want those! Smile

I dont care one way or the other, Im just curious where they came from or who made them. Do they have any numbers embossed in them, maybe on the inside? Could be south african or aussie, who knows?

I'll pull one off in the morning and take pics.
They're not home-made thats for sure. They look like they could be VWOA cheap things or something. It's 2 pieces...the molded plastic piece and then a short part of the metal air duct.
Either way they're cool......noone has EVER seen a set?
I figured they weren't common...but?

Way Cool!!

I would be interested in a set if they become available.

Why didn't the Germans do this in the first place. There are the four vents in the dash that direct the air at head level. That's it.

Might help elimate some of that 'seat sweat' that is common on any drive here in Arizona during the summer.

Might be intersting to see what could be fabbed up now that the idea is there. Would be simple I think.
