hello,
I'm the new owner of this "California import" low light. I reside in Switzerland, and the frame number is 2100845, probably built in 1958 (?), also model '59
Have somebody more info about this car? _________________ Il est grand le mystère de la DR |

I call it "unrestorated" but the exterior was one time re-sprayed in his orig. color. it had a little bit rust in the low corner of front fenders... but it's really in good condition!
I'm lucky

Just saved a 1959 Ghia Coupe from being crushed......the vin number is 2 4 1 6 5 2 x ........this is a California car from day one and was sold at COLOME Motors Inc in Montebello California.....it has a Becker Europa AM/FM 6volt radio in it and a pretty rare day/night mirror....one time crappy house paint job over the original light silver metallic paint.....not too rusty...but Rough Bondo Applied here and there without fixing the dents....done many years ago.

Congratulations on saving another Aerosilver coupe, Mango Juice! From the pictures posted in the gallery the car looks rough, but fairly complete! Surely worth saving. |

Yes the body work that was done before the house paint light yellow is a bit rough.......anyone have some extra L&R N.O.S rear quarter panels I watched those drive away in the sellers trailer at Pomona and I thought briefly ...What a deal!! too bad I do not own a early ghia anymore !!! The funny thing is the next Pomona he brought them back and I just missed them it could use a good nose skinning.....anyone have a good low light nose skin lying around??

PM me. I have one that can be reworked depending on how much metal you need. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette, 319 U.S. 624 (1943) |

Here's a '59 for sale for those wanting to join the '59 club:
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/176944499.html
That '59 the guy pulled out of Redding is a cream puff compared to this one! He gets extra style points for using a spare roof clip to hide the rust. _________________ -Thom

Looks like a nice project too.......I think this car should be saved as well....man if I only had more time.....the car I bought was pretty cheap so I might just tuck it away and search for some good metal.....another project I do not need....oh well it is better sitting indoors out of the elelments then going to the "BIG SHREDDER" |
