Instead of putting these pics in the Jalousie window thread below, I will show them by themselves.
*Not sure why I wrote Adventurewagon below. I meant to say ASI Riviera. I have Adventurewagon on my mind because that is the last bay camper I have found at the yards here, a 73*
68-77 Adventurewagens came with USA-made sliders that had screens built into them. Hard to find....
78-79 Adventurewagens used the factory sliders and they mounted screens on the outside. I don't know who made them. They mounted with 4 screws going thru the outside of the screen frame, thru the outer seal, and then into the body. Like jalousie windows do but from the outside.
Here is the slider, kinda hard to see the 4 holes in the rubber:
Here is close up of one of the screw holes:
Here is what it looks like on the window:
And here is the backside of the screen with the fuzz to keep bugs out of the end:
This is only the 3rd pair of these screens I have found in the past 7 years. VERY tough to find.

1979 and the screens were fabricated to be there by the previous owner. Was nicely done, but not something that was original as far as I could tell. The blue bus matched the blue in your pretty eyes, VWGirl.
Thanks for sharing, Karl- nice find. Please ship me a brown full-length middle seat since you're finding rare items for bay bus. |

Only requires drilling 4 1/8" holes per side.
What NLA exhaust parts are you looking for? |

I got the screens on my Riviera sliders. Factory made with locks (little spring thingies). But I still have a set of westy windows that I keep thinking about installing. I hate haveing to shut the windows when it rains. _________________ 1977 Riviera |

Not why I said Adventurewagon in my 1st post above...... I meant to say ASI Riviera.
77 and back Rivis had built in screens on the inside of the sliders.
TrickyThom, you have the correct Riviera conversion windows. |
