Thanks.

Small Car Performance down in Tacoma has always treated me well. Open on Saturday for parts and usually have a mechanic working whose been willing perform some simple work (bushing etc.) for a "cash" price.
They are also a great source for parts and can get just about anything by the end of the day. I found their prices to be comparable to online vendors if you consider their price plus shipping.
Not to mention lots a chances to drool over a few Subaru conversions.

I Take my Vehicles to Oval's in Federal Way. Close to where I live, they have alway done a good job on my cars. Is well stocked with parts, and hell the owner Fred was the one that turned me on to "The Samba". As he knows I am always searching for information and parts. They also know that my Ghia is my daily driver and go out of their way to get the work done I need.

Ovals
Just do it, Fred is a very good man........
Most of the shop guys are total Volks freaks....
Just go there........
Also find a mechanic in tacoma called AC, used to work for Small car,
no Cool body is a better Vanagon man, not sure where he is, maybe Lloyds.

Looking in Seattle I highly recommend Wolfsburg motor works. Call jack 206-789-0182 they are all really nice guys. You drive up and think you’re in some Vanagon only area of town. The whole block is just covered with Vanagon. It’s on fourteenth right below the Safeway on market and 15th. There is this place on aurora too. The VW specialists, I personally don’t like them. The mechanic is a cool guy but the manager owner guy is an ass. Or maybe he just hates punk kids asking him questions. Up in Northgate I went to these guys VW Tech shop once because the guy always tells me things to try before I bring it in. really nice guy. I have been completely satisfied with Wolfsburg motor works and VW tech shop.

There's also a great VW shop on Aurora right on the north side of Greenlake called Import Auto. They're just a bunch of old VW mechanics that are great. Fun to talk to and decent prices, plus these guys really know what they're doing. I was also thinking about Wolfsburg next time I need something, I've wanted to check them out to compare to Import Auto.
