|
|
Hi Everyone, I recently bought a manx style buggy without wipers, The holes are there and they are 16 inches apart, I cant seem to find an assembly that matches the width of the holes in my hood, Do I have to custom make something? The original owner made a custom metal dash and theirs no way to get the wiper motor where it should be, Any ideas???? Has anyone used a wiper assembly from another car, or should I buy just plain pivots and see if I can come up with a miracle, our local CHP is pretty active here and i have been told you have to have at least one wiper on your car that works. any ideas would be really great, who knows..maybe someone sells something for buggy owners to remedy this problem. Thanks to everyone for any help

JC Whitney sells a hand crank...
I believe the Manx is set up for a standard bug wiper.
Most Patrols don't care if you don't have wipers if you don't have a top (unless they're bored) ... They're normally more concerned if you don't have an EBrake.

My buggy has the stock VW wipers, but only one is used. The wiper arm was extended by the prevoius owner and I end up with more useable wiped windshield. So - if you can get away with a single wiper on the drivers side, then that opens up the options on what you can do. _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

Remember on a 58... you can use a drop down resistor to stop the "double time" wiping running 6v on 12v will produce. _________________ Dub Infested- PART WI$H LI$T-CLICK |
