I have a 1980 Vanagon and am looking to take care of all my rust and put in all new window rubber all around. Now I have a few of these little pits next to the window but I am pretty sure that it is under the rubber.

Now do I have to put new metal in or can I sand it down to metal and use a filler. Now is this a very bad idea to use filler by the window or what. Any help would be great. Is this a bad idea around the windshield too.

Also any ideas about body work outside in the summer.

thanks
Matthew

remove the window and look at it. looks to me that you need new metal already. bodywork outside - it´s all up to your neighbor. if they don´t like the noise they let you know Laughing
