mstatedog,
I have viewed your fabrication pics and they are unbelieveable.
You obviously have superior metal working skills!
Great job!!!
I too would like to see complete, detailed interior pics of not only the '74 air system with which you are dealing, but the '73 gas heater system too.
Keep us updated, please

Now I know why the girls like to ride.....

Time to back up and punt. I fabbed the ducts in the dash out of metal and wanted to know if someone could post a picture of what the duct work between the dash ducts and the plastic duct on the floor looked like (in a 74). The connections are different diameters. I have not welded in the connection on my dash ducts yet:

This is the best I can do for a picture

There is a soft flexible tube that goes along each side of the tunnel to the front plastic duct. These tubes are then covered with metal protection plates. There is a flexible tube that goes from the front of the plastic duct to the defroster ducts.

As I posted before, the Thing Shop sells both of these tubes.

MedicTed,
Nice pic. Thanks.
Could you also take pics of the shrouding on each side of the tunnel, and the Y's and ducting as it come through the body under the rear seat?
I'd love to see the details on that stuff.
The '74 cream puff here has all that stuff stripped off, and I know we only have some of the parts.
I've never seen a complete '74 heating system.
Seeing good pics of a real live working '74 heating system would do wonders in helping me restore this car to its stock set up.
The Things parts book just doesn't do it justice.
Rolling Eyes

I, umm, pirerated that picture off of e-bay. I do have some pics I took of someone else's car but have not yet gotten them developed. Maybe this weekend.

thanks for the pics MedicTed. I would like to see a picture of the duct entering the dash ducts. The diameter is larger. My Thing ductwork was in pieces when I got it.
