I just got off the phone with Rancho they will (if I can get proof from Thomas that the trans came from them) send me a trans and I will send them the old one back the same day they ship the new one. So I ship they ship same time. I have asked Thomas for proof the trans came from Rancho |

Look up Rickey Graffeo in Crowley, Texas for a tranny and send that crapper back.
There is a pretty big VW crowd in DFW. _________________ Robb

WOW-- looks like Quality German has been caught in a lie... ? Am I reading this right? Quality G is saying they have the charge back? AND a record of it they conveniently didn't post? Wow.
You all saw Pickupguys post of his CC company DENYING the charge back, right??? |

I bet they're "working it out" offline. If I was vwmotors, I would have made putting an end to this thread part of the deal. Especially after the chargeback backfire. Can't imagine why else it got so quiet.
Post the resolution when you can, pickupguy. |

My thanks to all of you who felt that vendors aren't always right. In todays world the buyer should control the way a vendor does business. If we don't like the way they do business.....don't buy from them. Then they will go out of business or change there ways. I hope that enough of you have followed this whole mess. I for one will never purchase anything from QGAP. I sent my 002 transmission back to them and I am waiting for my core charge to be credited. I am sure that they will deduct the shipping from the core charge return. They charged me 125.00 shipping first time and 75.00 to return core so I figgure they still owe me 50.00 from the first shipping. However the vendor who apparantely built the transmission for them has stepped up to the plate and solved the problem. I received today a rebuilt 091 transmission at no cost, no credit card required, I just paid shipping, (not from QGAP) and the promise to send the old one back to them when I switch it out this weekend (weather permitting). QGAP never sent me an invoice showing how much I paid nor would they send me a copy of the invoice showing where Rancho had rebuilt the transmission. With over 2600 views on this post I hope that I am not the only one who feels this way. _________________ 71 Pickup 190 HP 911 S engine |

with no thanks to Quality German Auto Parts. I am glad to see that all vendors don't treat people like DIRT. All of you who said that it was unreasonable to expect a vendor to ship a replacement before the item that is bad is shipped. Well you are/were wrong it does happen _________________ 71 Pickup 190 HP 911 S engine |

The first statement above is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read. On the other hand, the second makes perfect sense and I agree !00%. |

Why? In most retail businesses the seller does whatever is necessary to get buyer to purchase his product. If most people prefer to pay with PayPal don't you think more sellers would start taking PayPal? We, the buyer controls the market. If we don't buy the seller will lower the price to sell the item. Haven't you seen where a group will boycot a sponser of a television program because they don't like the program? They are changing how that business spends its advertising money. don't you think people buying Japanese cars changed the way GM and Ford do business? _________________ 71 Pickup 190 HP 911 S engine |

I wouldn't buy from QGAP simply on the basis of the way they are touting (whoring) themselves as the providers of drivetrain components associated with "Herbie: Fully Loaded." Glad to see that you are getting things taken care of, though, pickupguy. |
