I am thinking of adding some turning brakes to my buggy. The kind that hook up to the e brake cables , but do not replace the e brake. I will some day go to the dunes and i know they are great for the dunes.
How much do you get out of yours on the trails?
thank you

I don't know.. i know of a new/used set for sale. If i get them I may be willing to make some as copies for others if they are not sold any more. let me know ? anyone know if they are still made? if not ho many people would want a set. I would take them down to a shop i know of and see what they would want to build a few. _________________ Seabee turbo buggy build

If it is like the original cable turning brakes attached to the emergency brake I would be interested. |

Me too, just for the cool factor.
I wouldn't expect them to work very well though, compared to hydro/disc combination.
I've got the cable operated set on my rail (with drums) that does away with the e-brake, and am curious how they will work. The single handle hydraulic unit I had on my single seater (with drum brakes) wasn't very impressive. _________________ OG JHC

Don't know where you would get one now, but I know that the were offered by Kellison. The sandpiper pickup that I'm getting on the 26th has a set. Looks like a cool setup, but I don't think that they'll work as well as the hydraulic ones on my rail.

I was inquiring about recommendations on type and mfg. from members before buying a cutting brake over in the Off-Road forum. You may find some useful info on that string. |
