They actually look better in pictures than in person... they were in pretty rough shape, so i put some white ones on instead... This bus is a 78. |

My Champagne Edition.
These came with chrome bumpers. Since this picture was taken, I've had the bus repainted and the bumpers restored and rechromed ($550 for the pair). They look awesome! |

He said 1969 bumpers.
That means he needs 68 to 72 round bumpers.
NOT the 73 to 79 square bumpers! |

Easy, Karl.
He said:

He didn't specify what year bays he wanted to see them on. I, and many others, took that as ALL bays. |

karl,
I saw those chrome bumpers on Rob in Des Moines (username ="hippie") fine 69 bus including the chrome overriders. Was that a "deluxe trim level" thing only back then or did it continue for a few years after that?
thanks1 |

I had a crazy 69' pickup contraption that was built by a dealer here in Central washington- based on a Deluxe chassis- and it had the full deal. Chrome bumpers, trim, etc etc.
Sorry, No picture so I guess I'm not much help, but it popped up in the classifieds last year. Funny, when I got it (for $200) I figured I'd part it out since it was such a weird thing- tried to sell the PERFECT chrome bumpers and nobody wanted thm.

Here is a picture of a friend's '69 double cab from our club web site.
I have a better picture, but it's only on my PC.

I think chrome bumpers look cool... check out the gallery at vintagebus.com. You can find some pictures there if you dig a bit... _________________ The best things in life aren't things... |

as promised, a bus I had.......with the chrome. Came with a registration stamp from belgium. It was so rusty underneath, had to strip it. I kept the metal dash and the rear apron among other things.

Do you still have it? Can you post more pictures?
What type of cover is that on top. Emblem on bumper?
Chrome exhaust? I can assume engine is just as nice
as the rest of the Bus....Interior?... Thanks

Here's the front...not the greatest pic.
The blade portions cost 200.00 each and the 2 front side steps were 25.00 each for a total of 450.00. Straightened and painted white was going to cost me 250.00...so i spent a little more.
And the rear

I like the cover over the back luggage rack... I've never thought of doing something like that... _________________ 1994 Dodge Neon w/supercharged 1500dp
