Is this possible. I am new to the bus world and new to driving in general. I would like to know if the 1975 auto trans can be correctly put into a 1972 with a type 4 pan engine. |

I think it can be done, but I wouldn't do it. When they're running they may be nice, but getting them to run is another story. It's quite an involved process from what I've heard. _________________ All your Buses are belong to us.

The automatics were first introduced in 73 so I assume you've got a manual unless someone swapped a 003 transmission in it already? Doing this swap is non-trivial because everything is different.
I don't know your situation or how you came into that bus but I think it would be much easier to drive manual or find another bus with an automatic already in it. Avoid the 74 CA model with automatic and fuel injection. It's replacement part list is too rare. _________________ '78 Westfalia CDN
