What would cause an autostick not to shift into gear while the car is running but it shifts fine when the car is off.
Thanks for any help
Bryce

Well, it should always shift when the car is off. When it is on, there are a couple reasons. Contacts in the shift lever, the wire to the control valve has slipped off, vac hoses disconnected, etc. Personally, I would start in the motor area and look at the hoses and the control valve.

Check the wires in the gear shift, happened to me once when new carpet was put in. Turned out, wire was disconnected.
