|
|
Does anyone know if the fuel pump from let's say a '78 bus would work on a '71 squareback? I noticed the new type III pumps were quite expensive. Anyone know if the bus pump will work on the Type III injection?
I noticed three ports on the pump- what's up with that? |

a Type 2 pump will NOT work with D-Jet FI; different set up completely...
3 ports - intake, output, and a return line...
yes, they are expensive, but reasonable ones do turn up on eBay and here in the classifieds... _________________ póg mo thóin

I recall Russ mentioning something about using a fuel pump from a Ford Ranger...it would be cool if he would post up a part # on that. _________________ OGST

You want me to get under my lowered '71 FB and get a Ford part number??
BTW, the ford pump only has 2 ports. suction and pressure. The third port on a T-3 pump is a pressure bypass incase the pump gets deadheaded.
The L-Jet pump will work with some line rerouting. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey
