starter bushing removal

i have spent all morning trying to get that awl starter bushing out with a pic and a bolt and other items. I dont want to buy the $32.00 tool and cant find a place in seattle that would rent one. any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated

I think a tap (7/16") will latch on it pretty good and pull it out.

I used a punch (with my engne out) and it just popped out.

be sure and stuff a rag in the big hole you can't see to the bottom right of the bushing, be sure to leave it there untill you have the bushing back in.
