I've got more RGB trannys than buses, about twice as many. I hope that's enough! (Now I gotta get more, dammit!) _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

Aren't RGB's popular with the dune buggy crowd, or used to be? |

They used to be, in the beginning, since you get higher ground clearance. The inertia off all that weight swinging out there killed that use and long travel irs replaced it. There are even old articles about how overbuilt the RGBs are and how to lighten the box by removing the top outer bearing and some gussetts. |

I think that the desire for the RGB's and tranny caused the following tragedy:

I have a straight axle trans and spring plates ready to go in our 67 bus when it returns from paint. The old trans is going to be strapped and shrink wrapped to a half pallet and hoisted up into the attic for safekeeping, along with the other original front suspension parts. Keeping the drum to drum trans is a no brainer; it only has 58k miles on it and is totally silent. |

I have about 5 RGB transmisions out back, some big nut, some small nut, some have brakes, most of them are in perfect working order. If anyone needs one we sell them for $100 each....Don't even ask if I will ship! |
