no keys for my 70 panel. are the door handle and ignition the same? where do i look for numbers to have new keys made?what about the gas door is it the same as door key?any help appreciated. thank you _________________ Somebody stop the world spinning.I think I am getting dizzy.

A old locksmith (me) told me. That you would need to impression a new key. If that does not work a cylinder can be removed and a key can be cut. the cap springs and top pins need to be removed. Cut each groove till the bottom pins line up. |

There is a number stamped on the lock cylinder of every door lock. You can give that number to a VW locksmith via email and he will cut you keys by code and mail you the keys. One option.
All the door keys were originally the same as the ignition key but the PO may have swapped locks on your.
The gas cap key was a different size, a dealer option and never the same. Same goes for the locking engine lid: dealer option with different key. _________________ '78 Westfalia CDN
