I've searched the Samba and the web and can't find a good tutorial for rebuilding my front end. The only reason I'm looking is that I've misplaced both my Compleat idiot's guide and my Haynes (I'm sure they are in the same spot -- I've looked all over), and I wanna tear into it this weekend.

Anybody know of a tutorial online?

Many thanks.

complete idiots guide is cute, Haynes is useless... you did yourself a favor losing them Wink

Buy the Bentley service manual. they can be had Brand new

Or you can buy on ebay or thesamba or local Half priced books (if you are lucky)

Sorry I don't know of any links for the info you want.

Peter is right. Use the right tool for the right job, meaning you should buy a Bentley.

Bentley covers the original stuff very well. No instructions came with the Avis front beam from CB. It would have been nice to know a few things about it. Like why the bushings are smaller than the trailing arms that go into them.
