Great thread Jedi. I've enjoyed the good shots of people, places and buses.
Lets keep this going all summer! Be sure to take a pic of anywhere you go. _________________ Imagine that, theres not an "h" in either Westfalia or Syncro? |

The kids and I went to Townsend. TN yesterday, its the town at the south end of GSMNP. The road from Townsend to Gatlinburg has lots of pulloffs next to the river. Bring your fly rod and get a trout stamp

This was our first trip in this Westy. We camped in Winterset, IA on our way to Minnesota. It was a great vacation, we took advantage of the slower pace of the Westy and just enjoyed the ride.

KCwesty-that is a beutifull Van!
This is my Van on a visit with the family to my Dad's house in S. Florida. My wife and I were joking that the guard gate probly thought we were there to clean the house or something. Had to snap a pic of the 'Noggin in front of million $$$ homes.
Sorry- Buspor, no "fun" trip planned for a while, trying to close on new house and sell ours. _________________ 1987 Wolfsburg T25 still riding out. A bunch of other VW's passed on... |

Here's our vanagon stranded in front of our apartment with a blown engine. At least the poptop is getting used as a "tree fort" for now. I'm hoping we will be able to take her on a *maiden voyage* to Silver Falls State Park first weekend of August. We'll see; the clock is ticking. |

Nice Jared.
I have been waiting to see the pics from the vacation. Buspor, you guys live in a nice area of US, like the Black Mnt. photos too. Good times. _________________ 1987 Wolfsburg T25 still riding out. A bunch of other VW's passed on... |

What is exactly wrong with your engine?
You said you're the one that's going to be doing the work, get a Bentley and have at it!
It might not be as bad as you think, (I hope you're not just going by what the PO told you), from your pictures your engine is all intact.
You might be able to get that thing back on the road in a couple of weeks and can get some camping in. |

mightyart, thanks for the encouragement to get my hands dirty. I'm headed to Powell's Technical tomorrow to pick up a Bentley. I hope that you are right. I don't want to hi-jack this thread, so I'll put updates in the other one I started here. |

Me and my new new wife found that sport on a road trip to Cali last year, it was around labor day and since it was unplanned(the best road trips) every damm campsite was pack tent to tent (who farted? ) and all of the sudden my nose lead me up this little unmarked road, being from Colorado I can smell a good hidden trail that leads to an amazing site like this one in Big Sur, Beautiful , had to laugh at those silly people crammed into campsites while we were alone, Great Spot, the secret is safe with me _________________ I guess that makes me a Swissicain |
