I have a '67 bug that I am trying to return mostly to stock except for a few personal touches but I keep getting mixed answers on what is compiled into the one year only items for a '67. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

It's just the rear bumper overrider tubes (aka towel bars) that changed if the car has a "born on" date of Jan '67 or later...

How about the Saphire V radio. Isn't it along with the Saphire VI 67 only?

there are 3 different (early, mid, late 67) door lock knobs, there are 2 different (early/late) 67 only low back seats. brake fluid resivior is one year only and im pretty sure the master cylinder is...if not its the first year of the dual circut design. 67 only flasher relay. and i think most everything else has been covered.

I got a 67 in May and have been slowly bringing things back to stock. Just got some nice two tone powder coated rims that are very close to original colors for my car (cumulus cloud white outer and black inner)

When I first posted information here about it, I got a nice link from Everett here at Samba from a deep corner of the archives..it is a bunch of pictures of a 67 survivor car..most is original stuff (except the obvious things like radio)
I look at them from time to time to use as reference for my car..which is the same color zenith blue and now I have the wheels to match:

Hope this helps

Thanks for all the great replies and the link. I didn't know there were so many things one year. I think I need to start shopping.

What about rear axles? Someone told me the trans was wider. Were they mistaken for the axles? Was the 67 trans one year only also?

Ouch!! I tried to buy this but Everett sold it before I got a hold of him. Question- Is that blue interior aftermarket? I have an original 67 Zenith Blue and it has black seat covers and door trim covers. Just curious.

the blue interior is an option -it is water blue. the rear upright cooling tins under rear tin is one year only as 67 had two preheat hoses. the tubes that go thru the verticle tins to pick up heat for aircleaner are 67 specific.
