Isnt this the one Magus Wiksten of Sweden pulled out of the woods and it nearly collapsed and had to be ratchet strapped to load it without falling to pieces? |

This bus belongs to Tom & Gary. They bought it from George Schmidt like 13 years ago? This is one of three Barndoor Deluxe's they own. I doubt any of them are on the registry?? They are put away. I do have the chassis numbers at work?? Have to check. |

Anyone know the werabouts of the frankinstien deluxe barndoor?
It was put together by a freind of mine in NY back in the 80's. This was his firstr time welding and it showed.
I think he used a 52 deluxe and maybe a 54 or 53. It was cut and welded together right in the middle with large badly warped areas. I cant rember which end was 52. I met a couple back at the old Wodastock show that had bought it and were taking it to Ca.
Anyone have pics? |

Jim- I believe Tom and Ferry own that one too. It looked like someone cut it up and then changed their mind to put it back together, right? All kinds of wierd cuts in the roof and rear floors that I remember. If it is the same Bus it was sitting outside behind their shop, no glass in it, just directly in the weather. The speedo and pod were full of water from rain. Funny, I was talking about that very Bus with a buddy of mine this morning. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

That sounds like it that why I call it frankinstien Love to see some pics.
I was welded togehter in a strange zig zag way.
BUT I rember talking to the one that welded the two together about his other bus a pickup and he asked "why his paint was so lumpy looking". I asked "did you ever sand any of the primer" and he said "sanding whats that". He goten a lot beter i saw him this winter and his latest work looked ok. |

I love that pic. It's in or around Carmel, CA where Rick lives, a kick ass Bus in a kick ass place. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

Just came to mind, the RHD 54 DLX Jonas sold to Matt Devine that the guy in Mexico owns now. Any pics of that one? I remember when Matt had it for sale at BFY but never took any pics of it, |

I remember when 10 Foot Doug the Head passed on that one at a measly $8000 way back when. Crazy how that is seemingly Free by todays standards. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage
