For those of you that remember the talk show host, he died on Friday, his 81st Birthday.
I loved that show.

Mike Douglas was a fine singer in the big band era. A lot of people don't know he was the singing voice of Prince Charming in Disney's "Cinderella."

I liked Mike's show. I remember vividly watching it during the 70's after getting home from school.

Yet another sign that we are ALL getting older as the entertainers of our youth are passing on..........

Douglas started out in Cleveland on WKYC TV-3. He then moved to Philadelphia. Douglas took chances with his guests. He had Lennon/Yoko co-host for a full week in the early 1970's. What show do you know that has controversial guests for a full week today? Only Johnny Cash had the guts to invite people like that on a show in the early 1970's. Douglas had politically controversial people on his show, despite his years. I thought he was great. Agree with his views or not, he made you think. Today's so called "hosts" should take a page from his book.
