yes my farther will take it and i will take the oldest in Wolfburg build VW a Kubelwagen from 1940 with chassis number 66
The engine is from 1939

Most of the air seeps in thru the gaps between the decklid and body - as there is no rubber seal there. Rain is deflected from the engine compartment because on the body side, there is a channel under the gap which collects any rain getting through the gap. There are also some oval shaped holes underneath the engine decklid chrome "eyebrow" which allow some air in.

And some previous owner of this one had added a porsche style air vent in the deck lid for extra air....probably because they also shaved off the eyebrow and the associated holes are patched over.
