The Salt Flats...now there is an event. Sounds like this is jut the ticket to put some machine work in.

All kinds of levels you can out-do previous speed records. The VW AirCooled engines ought to be in there more.

There was a Type IV motor in a SuperBeetle (I think) at one time that went out there. Not so sure if it did break any record. Lots'a high-dollar stuff on it.

HotRodding the 36HP seems like a good project.
