So, this just came out of the motor in my 71 bus along with some old berg parts. Just wondering if anyone possibly knows what its worth. Thanks

I paid $800 for mine, but it's been welded and offset ground to 84mm with Chevy journals. Also is wedgemated to a 10 lb. flywheel and included a set of 5.5" Scat promoly rods.

Is your crank VW or Porsche journal?

Personally I'd keep it, you're not going to stumble onto a better crank...

I bought an NOS one in a collection of vintage speed stuff a bit ago... Been saving it for an unknown future project. From what I've been told, as mentioned by RIS above, you'll have a hard time finding a better crank.

Since I don't know I'll ask, how do I check the differences in journals? I have thought about keeping it but here's the story. I'm 25 and have had cancer for the last 3 years and got my bus (which was going my first real project) right before it spread to my lungs. So, I've lost a lot of my strength since then and the only reason this project is getting complete is that my club is helping me. Odds are I'll never be able to do another big project and this part will just sit never being used. Rather just have a stock, reliable motor in the bus that's going to last me.

Okrasa = German
4340 = China

The Okrasa is comparable to a one of the Swedish made Berg cranks...

Honestly it's not that bad; I just have to except that some projects are just too hard for me to do right now. Hopefully, it'll change in the future, but rather get out and enjoy my cars than planning for projects. So, just makes more since to sale this thing off to someone that really wants it and put the money into what I want for the current project. Which is basically just a near stock, reliable motor built with quality parts. Anyways, that's just the reason of putting it up for sale.

So another question does anyone know when it was made?

OEM German Forged crank with welded counterweights, DMS or DPR... unless you got big $$$ for a Scat Billet or Moldex piece. I won't use any of the "4340" cranks in my engines, may be good enough for others, but not me. A $200-300 stroker crank is asking for trouble in the long run...
