What car, and why? If you're really determined to be mental low, do the PRA Super Street race trick and raise the framehead and rear torsion housing. Still gives you a stock centre section but driveable low.

Neil
If you raise the rear torsion housing do you have to remount the shift tube above the tunnel?

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

This is Rich Hoffman's old dirt track car it had the bottom of the body cut off several inches, man was it low to the ground. This pic was taken last summer the day he bought his car back from me.

Yes, you do, but that can look quite cool anyway! Chrome shift rod?
Seen one with a modified piece of another tunnel to keep the handbrake too - just looks like the tunnel has been made taller!

Problem with that is you then need to fab a custom pedal mount and sides to the floors, to get it to line up with the newly raised heater channels.
You'd need to remake the inside of the doors, the bulkhead and channels all need moving and probably the entire underbonnet too, whereas a framehead raise will only require a custom tank and the rear end raise will only need work doing under the back seat area, which is not a major as raising the channels and still having to raise this area.

the heater chanels would stay as part of the floor boards and they make a weld one mount for the pedals that they sell for sand ralls. i saw pic of one bug done that way it was crasy low. but there was no info on that car
