Along time ago, I read on another board of someone reworking the original molds. Anyone know who that may have been? Just idle curiosity here.

I just have to put this:
"Use the SEARCH, Luke."
I typed in: Adventurewagen and got 17 threads. The best is:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=167650&highlight=adventurewagen
which leads to:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1132283
A user here with the screen name: Adventurewesty has or had them last.
Looik at the pictures on the yahoo site from the above thread.
OK?
Not hard to do a quick search, friend!
Good luck! _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

Now I notice the person has not been here in a long time......and thereis no email address....darn....
If you read some of the threads, you may notice references to the vanagon mailing list. Goto http://gerry.vanagon.com and search there. Maybe you can find the person or post a query there too.
Best of luck, sure looks neat. If I found a syncro sunroof van, that would be a fun conversion! _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

I think the adventurewagen is a cool concept. Then again, I already have issues with low branches and the Westy. It also pretty much puts Kayaks and Canoes into the relm of: for André the Giant only. _________________ Geology with a Syncro rocks!

This is the latest I just saw this week on this!
It was posted up on another site.
Hello folks,
I was in the process of making new tops for sale. But after MJ was
diagnosed with brain cancer and subsequently surcame to the
complications of the disease, I've decided my heart is not in that
endeavor any longer.
Please pass the word around. If there is anyone interested in
picking up where I left off, please e-mail me.
Currently, one of the outer shell molds is in production condition,
as well, as the inner mold. The other outer mold is in storage. All
molds have been undercover since I picked them up.
One set of shells, inner and outer have been pulled off the molds
since being repaired.
May you find peace and happiness in everything you do!

that almost sounds like the same thing that happened to some of the Laser 917 molds. _________________ Nick |
