So, after doing so many mods to my Westy, thinking everything is almost in place,
Replaced the spray nozzles (all 3) because they were clogged for whatever reason. Once done tested wiper ,front intermitent fine, the rear wiper however won't turn off until I shut the engine down. I did not touch the electrical on this & in AZ not much use for the wiper, but anyone know where to start looking to correct this?
Thanks |

I experienced something similar, finally realized I didn't understand the mechanism. I had to pull the wiper control arm a second time in order to get it to stop. Though that's just me not reading the manual.

My nozzles also continually clogged up. So I pulled the resevoir out. Lo, it was a small ecosystem in there. Kind of like the one growing on Bender in Futurama. So I rinsed it out with bleach and then back flowed the nozzles with a syringe to get any residue out. Now it shoots about 30 feet. _________________ Geology with a Syncro rocks!

On mine, it is one click to put them on interval, and another to put them on regular... A third click turns them off... If yours will not turn off, I would assume there is something wrong with the relay... _________________ '69 bug--rusty as hell

Yesterday was the first rain of the year and I was not even sure how to turn on my rear wipers! But I got it figured out and apparently I am lucky all functions worked. The best thing about the first rain was that I replaced all the wipers around a month ago when VanCafe had a package deal. They worked so nicely and kept the windows perfectly clear of rain that I am going out today to get new wipers for all my other cars! |
