I did a "headlight" search and dug though the topics, and didn't see any postings about the different headlights.

I had bought these about 11 years ago, from a guy who said that they were correct for my early '52.

After digging though all those posts, i now know this is not true.

So, what year(s) are these for.

With the block letters, those are for the late 50's early 60's models.
The Bosch lenses in the "Script" fancy writing are the earlier ones that would be correct for your 52 split

And the rings would date to that era as well. Screws at 2 & 7 o'clock.?

Also one ring has one rivit where the other has two.

Correct for 1960 to 1967 bugs. Atleast in europe. Asymetrical lenses, looks to be for countries driving on the right side of the road.

Look for a date code on the backside of the reflector; either a three-digit number or a number (1-12) followed by a letter. I Think these are correct for late '60-'67 home market cars.

No date codes. but the chrome ring with one rivet, does have a vw ink stamping on the inside of it, along with some numbers or letters, it's blocked, and i have to take the unit apart to really read it.
