Wow Ruud, looks like it's in good hands now! Surfer Dude, floors are easy - they're Ghia pan halves. Its the channels above them that are the difficult bit!

looks good! But man, I think you'll have a lot more hours of labor to hand-rebuild the car than VW did to built it from scratch in the first place!

Anyone whos ever worked on a Fridolin knows that the rot comes in all the usual areas that any VWs rust, The German and swiss postal services looked after their vehicles maticulously until they were sold to the public. The base bodies were never painted well on the underside or inside. The mud held water and bingo holes everywhere. I bought my fridolin after it was sat for 16 years in the damp of a german barn, it was toast. I paid 500DM for it and restored it to a show winning vehicle using mostly NOS parts.
