That's the "melvan" from New Mexico. I met the old owners at our local show on LI a few years ago. Sadly, the gentleman passed away and his wife ended up selling the bus on here.

Melvan is still on the road. NJ, 2006.

I've got a few...
The one that came with it -
Old VW Emblem Sticker - cracked.
"Fat Chicks Rule" sticker across the bottom of my rear hatch glass
Two "Save The Bays" Stickers.
And some old Racing sticker - can't remember what three letters they were.... *shrug* _________________ Ryan

For the first 9 yrs I owned Sweetpea I had just 1 small(2.5") round black and white pic of Jerry in the bottom rt corner of the rear window, very happy. This summer I added 2; "Simplify" and "Truth is thicker than oil" both about 6" long. Although I agree with the statements I cringe a little everytime I see'em, way to cliche and I don't want other people thinkin I'm some sort of sissy that can be cut off in traffic with no ramifications! _________________ Sweetpea - 1972 Sunroof Deluxe Stock 1700 Dual Solex

The way I look at it, stickers give folks something to read while waiting for a redlight to change. Like sitting in the doctor's office reading "People" magazine or some such drivvel. Bus stickers are just much more thought provoking. Mannn. |

The only sticker we have is our bus' name - Alice.
The sticker is pictured in my avatar. It will be redesigned this year. _________________ The Mulligan Clan

My bus has these stickers on it:
A Darwin fish,
"Fed your kids today? Hug a farmer"
"Eat organic"
and "Join the Army, travel to exotic distant lands, meet interesting and unusual people, and kill them." Most of them were on there when I got it. _________________ ---1976 standard bus "The Red Toad" transplanted 78 FI 2.0, Hydraulic lifters

Saw the thread, hadda rush out into the freezing darkness and take a pic (hence the flash). Nothing too crazy, although I grabbed the "Zanskar Trek" sticker at a little outfitter's shop in the Indian Himalayas last summer.
The "deluxeproductions.biz" sticker was custom-made, and satisfies the requirement of having a business name on the vehicle so I can use commercial plates.[/i] _________________ JJ

Not sure if this is a bay bus, and it probably doesn't technically qualify as a "sticker" but it's one of my favorite VW pics. I took this on Kauai (Hawaii) in 2002.
