You should post his email address and ID in the subject line. You know, to get his attention. _________________ '78 Champagne Edition II Westfalia

Totally Sorry for not checking this thread.... glad it was resolved in about 4 hours.
Have been out of town -- I do not read all of the forums.
Status
There's a guy at work who preps and ships parts.... working on a method to ship quicker.
Unfortunately people prefer not paying a shipping company to do the boxing and handling.
When work takes me on the road, it causes unfortunate shipping delays.
If anyone ever wants immediate shipping, I'm more than willing to drop off at a Mailboxes etc or pay the warehouse guy at my work to do the hand work.
The warehouse guy (at work) is always instructed to hold all questionable packages. It's common for paypal sheets to read "Dub Parts" and/or "bumpers"
Always cautious that the parts are correct for the car.
WHEN PAYPALLING
Please include:
-Full Name
-Street Shipping Address
-Phone Number
-Complete Item Number
Sorry about slow shipping.. please email me directly if any questions.
Thanks for understanding I'm a collector and not a staffed store.

Thought I'd be the first to note a discussion.
I was asked by a terminally ill man's family to dispose of his collection... this is a fund raiser.. I'm volunteering my time and materials.... plus donating all the long distance phone call expenses.
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=353832
I have a pending from Brian Gray who has been making $50 monthly payments.. has $100 down on a fast back.... offered to give him a set of front brakes I bought by mistake when he picks up the car.
I've immediately offered to refund his money as there's a misunderstanding that the car is not mine and is not $200. I have told the terminally i'll man's family family that I'm receiving monthly payments of $50 each.
Left 2 phone messages and multiple emails to discuss options or refunds.
I'll keep you posted... Out to make friends --- not rip anyone off.
STATUS ---
I placed 4 phone calls requesting a return call to apologies and offer some options. No replies. Waited 24 hours then refuned the paypal.
Update #3
I made several calls and placed several notes to Brian. I receved no replies. His money order was refunded (at my cost) via registered letter.
Update #4
It's been well over a week and no communication from Brian... considering this closed. _________________ Dub Infested- PART WI$H LI$T-CLICK |

So far, I have has 4 dealings with Tim in the last two years. (Bumpers, running boards, fan shroud, and some autostick parts. Every deal has gone down well, items shipped in a timely fashion, packaged decently, and I'm quite happy with what I have gotten.
Sorry Tim! I should have left you feedback before. _________________ (0)(=|=)(0) 68 Ghia Vert - Gina

Bought a roof rack from Tim. No problems at all. He does give partial refunds on shipping too. Will most defiantly buy from him again. _________________ 61 BEETLE.

Shipping Status - I have been out of town since the 4th of July... will return early next week.
All orders that paid for a 3rd party packing and shipping are out. Those items that are large and/or bulky will go out upon my return.
I will be on/off line this week - out of phone range.

I met Tim through TheSamba to purchase an engine. Tim was really helpful in selling me the best engine for my needs. He is a great guy with a lot of knowledge of aircooled vw's. |

These are brazillian aftermarket running boards... NOT OEM boards. Good enough for a daily driver -- not good enough for your restoration project. Shipping and paypal cost $18.. these are the best $2 running boards out there.
Note.. the "cal look" bumpers are a better quality since they do not have the aluminum trim on them.
Feel free to PM me directly for additional information.
CORRECTION -- The Running boards are actaully $1.23.. I finally calculated the costs after paypal and shipping. _________________ Dub Infested- PART WI$H LI$T-CLICK

AMERICAN TOWEL BAR BUMPER UPDATE
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=471859
I placed a low-price ($65) ad out there for shipped bumpers. The ad noted that due to size and shipping logistics there would be a delay.
What's the catch? The bumpers are Brazillian - not OEM German... enough said.
I opened the 2nd pallet of bumpers - they had shipping dings and dents.
The Math
$65 (paypal price) - $2.49 (Paypal) - $60 (Shipping cost) = $2.51
Incomplete Buyer Information
Unfortunately several notes were received with "bumpers" as the paypal description. Please use complete information in your paypal transaction.
I'm predicting many people would not calculate the transaction costs and request a 2nd pair. I'm willing to ship these to Samba friends - not make Samba enemies.
The ad has been updated to reflect the damage. _________________ Dub Infested- PART WI$H LI$T-CLICK
