I heard through the VW Bus grapevine that Jim Miehle had passed away last Wednesday of an apparent stroke at his home in Grass Valley, CA. Jim was a fixture in the VW bus scene having collected rare models of pre 67, baywindow and vanagon. Some of his ads still exist on this sight at the present time, if you want to see a taste of Jim's collection. Jim loved the VW bus no matter the model and was a charter member of the OCTO crew. You could see him at most OCTO events shooting the shit with his friends old and new, but never did I see him work, LOL! Jim was a great guy and will be sorely missed! Happy trails Jim!

Sorry to hear. I'm wondering if there are any pictures of him. I'm sure I know who he is, but the name doesn't ring a bell.

Jim will be sorely missed. Sad I had an opportunity to visit him at his home a few months back. I was there picking up a single cab a friend of mine had bought from a friend of Jim's. He let us stay the night at his house so that we didn't have to drive home right away. He was a great host, person, and human being. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. Jim is the one on the far right.
