You know, the one angle I've never seen from a highroof is in the cargo area looking forward, as if you took a picture sitting in a rear bench seat on a normal bus. I'd like to see what it looks like from the inside, can anyone with a highroof satisfy my curiousity? |

The RUDOLPH bier truck highroof that was featured in HotVW's a long
while back is in Michigan. It was at the Toledo show last year.
One more for the count.

I wish Uncle Jerry would have never sold the Rudolph highroof. |

When I was offered this bus this was one of only 3 pics sent and to be honest it scared me, if only I could of had more pics eh!
Was only £1500 as well...we live and learn
Mine was featured in C and C with the Rudolf bus its one of only two issues of the mag which have sold out which is a pain for me as I would like some more copies.
Apparently it also features in Hot VWs from france and a Japanese mag as well although ive not seen these. Pics were from when it was on show n the scpeial bus display at Vanfest a couple of years ago!

Here's the 4 I got.
I guess I got 1 more picture than you did.
Not the best, and definitely not telling the whole story, but for the price I couldn't pass it up. |

Yep pic 2 scared the crap out of me as i didnt have any workshop, infact i lived in a first floor flat and didnt own a welder.
At the time nobody really wanted them but when i saw mine I had to have it.
Daves had at least one more since and at bloody good prices as well.
Your one was a real gem underneath for the money and you certainly turned it round quick enough!!! |

Mine when it arrived from Switzerland!!
Sported a Union Jack on the front after this for a few year and strangely enough was when I first saw it at Detling although I cant find any pics of it when it was like that.

heres the two scottish ones although I think the green one has now been sold abroad. I actually turned this one down for £3000 as well and regret doing so.
had been converted to RHD, had wheel well cut out of bulkhea, and windows badly replaced with metal with lots of swag down the long side which alldidnt add up for me but on reflection was a bad decision. The guy who had it was gonna roof chop it as well as it didnt fit n his garage.
This was the owner after him who now imports buses from Oz as he was an Oz
This was a very early example as well
I was kicking myself for not getting mine running in time for this one as its only a small show called Biggar and to have three highroofs there would have been awesome |

I just got back from Shasta and will hopefully get some more stuff done on the computer now that I'm done prepping for that little adventure. Just got a cable to let me hook up a drive via USB in seconds so as soon as I find the drive with the old site on it I'll get it up somewhere.
Anyone have any tips for recovering a domain name that was bought out from under you and now just sports paid links to other places? I'm guessing I'll end up needing to find a new name. Kind of a bummer.

We have a car dealer here in South Africa with a Highroof for sale. I will take some pictures when I pass there next time. It looks like a panel van. the cardboard rooflining stops behind the front cab and it's right hand drive. _________________ 1970 Westy

Nice one Didi, that Spice factory one is in this months letters page in Ultra as well.
Richard I dont think the web address has been bought from under you i think thats the web hosts cover pages as subsscription for site has lapsed.
Anyway I have bought www.hochdach.co.uk wehich I have attached to the server on my club site www.durhamdubbers.co.uk Im more than happy to host the site as everything is all set up ready for this to happen.
I was gonna have a Uk and indeed worldwide directory of buses and owners.
Just let me know and it will be sorted asap
Cheers |
