Here is some photos of a 21 window frame. Worst section, but several holes into the bottom of the main frame due to the belly pans.
Does it worth to repair it, is it good to weld a frame...
Where to cut?

The beltline!
No Seriously, That looks like a bus that has been on the eastcoast for a while...and for an eastcoast bus it's not that terrible. You can definatly save it... as for where to cut - Wait until you have replacement panels in hand before you go chopping. Do you have any other pictures of the bottom - one looking from back to front? and vice versa. Most of that rust looks like pieces that are available from people like Gerson...
As for the frame bits you may have to have some pieces fabbed up. But is it worth it? Yes. |

That looks about like the driver's side of my '66SC. Of course it was a farm truck and all they cared about was being able to use it. On one hand you have to admire it. Had they not cobbed mine up like that (in the late 70's !) it would have been gone long ago. On the other hand, what a mess to fix now. Fortunately (I guess) it then sat in a barn for over 25 years so it never got any worse.
Just one more reason to praise people like Gerson for making great replacement parts. _________________ '67 Micro Bus
