Here is my old 67 circa 1992-1993. I still own it today but it looks alot different. It sits at my dads house as a gutted street racer. It started originally Zenith blue and I painted it Mazda Miata blue and Chevy Appliance white when I was 15 in ROP. I later painted it solid Mazda blue and finally stripped it and painted it black. Engines ranged from 1600 single port, 1641 single port w/ Rajay turbo to 1641 w/36 Dells and 041s, 1776 w/42DCNF, 1776 w/044s, 44 IDFs and 48 IDAs, 1915 w/48 IDAs and 044s and finally 2332 with flanged crank, 48 x 38 CE heads and 48 IDAs and NOS. Wheels started off as white 5 spokes, then white smoothies with white porta walls (flew off over 100mph), Polished 5 spokes, black smoothies with trim rings, 4 lug 5.5" chromies (when I went to 4 wheel discs) and finally 15 x6 Fuchs.

Well, here are some pics of my '63 that I drove in high school. My parents sold it when I graduated from college, so if anybody's seen it in the past 8 years, or know its whereabouts... I'd love to see what's been done to it!
Complete with crushed blue velvet interior... ahhh... the 80s! |

Yeah I give you guys props for putting it down back in the day That notch you have now is tight. One of the tightest notches on the East Coast for sure. I posted that bitch in the slammed notch fest many times. _________________ GFK

Thanks again SKIM. I appreciate all the compliments. She means alot to me and my family. The VW scene has come back real strong here in South Florida so I'll be heading back to the Shows.
Thats Ole Phill "HOTDOG" Weiner on top, me on the left and my buddy Jerry on the right. We all took 1st place in our classes in the 80's
Hey mixedup59, can you say Wolfsburg Germany |

That was my 1970 bus circa 1989. Had to pull the front torsions in the front to lower it and turn the spring plates. I had 14" alloys. Good times...... _________________ **** Wide 5 ****

I gotta say, not only do I like the look of the 80s and 90s cars, I personally like them too.
I've gotten a Hurst bent copper shifter for $14 out of one at pickapart, and decent fatty fenders from another. Maybe I shoulda taken the louvered hood and running boards too... Nahhh. |
