Balance it out, if you end up selling some stuff off of it, especially said middle seat, go back and throw the guy a few hundred, whatever you think is fair, but that kind of stuff goes a long way, he did the good deed, and you can return the favor _________________ Castle Rock, Co

He seems like a really nice guy, lives by himself and is a taxi driver, who isn't expecting a thing in return. So, we (my wife and I) are def. going to return the favor. _________________ Even YOU can prevent FIRES!

ummm not quite- but close (add about 150lbs)...
i dug underneath the front seat today- found the crank handle - pretty rusted and a tool roll...looks like the mice chewed a piece out of it- no tools that i found so far. i was able to extract the middle seat this evening. the bus was crammed close to another car - naturally on the cargo door side, so the seat had to come out the rear hatch.. _________________ Even YOU can prevent FIRES!

Looks to be original upholstery. That's one heck of a find. I imagine there are some pretty jealous early kombi owners drooling over that seat.

The mango bus that was raffled off this year has the same style seat. I was talking with Will, the owner of the '59 raffle bus this weekend at the Charlotte Transporter Show. He may be interested in selling the seat since it is earlier than his '59 standard.
His samaba id is NIMBUS. _________________ Call your Cunado's:

mark that seat in will's bus is not a highly valued 6 legger. his has 4. look closer
6 leggers were bds and wolfsburg busses.
someone correct me if im wrong though. _________________ --------------------------------------
