That would be a GREAT samba insider joke - a bunch of vanagons with an "RS" badge.

wow, sweet vanagon. i have crossed paths with ron maxon and family a couple of times. good people for sure. i have several pictures of your new vanagon, i think.. if it used to have the words dark star on the side... i know i have pics of his paisley splitty with my old hand-painted 71. and some hand built leveling blocks he made and gave me for free!
i am in on the RS thing too if you get a quote on the vinyl. _________________ Champagne Edition Roadtrip monster "Juakali"

The RS is cool, and I would be willing to pay up for a decal of the "Campmobile" logo as well. Two of those, one for the front, one for the rear, I thinkn would be very nice!!! _________________ 1985 Westy, 1.9L automatic (Daisy)

Ken, yes that's the one! Great photos - awesome past event history. Yes, Ron has the Dark Star woodworking logo (new version) on the sides of his Paulchen rack on the syncro now. Very nice looking.
The Paisley splitty is just beyond words. Very kewl, even the engine fan shroud and bits are painted to match! I was so swept up in the new Vanagon moment that I didn't even think to snap off photos of the visit.
I'll keep these stickers on the cheap. One long version sticker (similar height to syncro) that says -
"RS campmobile"
all black outlined vinyl, you can cut it up as needed. If you want just campmobile on the front and RS on the rear, visa versa, or both on both ends, etc.
The list of people that want the stickers is updated on the first post.

I'm thinking one of these might be nice:
Or you can get one of these if you have a GoWesty (or other hopped up motor), you can upgrade to simply "slow"

I'm from VT too... (up north... ala between essex and fairfax) lived there from when I was 2 until I was 19... then I moved down here to TN b/c I like my VWs aged, but without holes. |
Thanks! I don't plan to drive this in the winter, summer only rig. I'll be spraying on the Waxoyl and Wurth goodies soon. |

Thanks. I can't leave good enough alone - I love to design. Volkswagen left us campmobile owners without a proper logo |

Damon, those are nice and would work well on the back too. But, might be Really Spendy............
It's always been a toss up for me > Porsche or Audi for the family heritage thing when you own a Volkswagen. I guess it depends on the build. My '88 Quantum syncro was definately an Audi at heart. 5 cyl, quattro 016 gearbox, locking rear diff.
My new Vanagon Westfalia feels like it has Porsche blood in it's veins. MoF, I've got a 1995 Porsche 968 Club Sport 350mm steering wheel that would bolt right on... or my old 1985 Porsche 944 steering wheel too - Hmmm. |

I think they were in the $25 range (first hit on google). Not too bad, but probably a bit more than a vinyl sticker. _________________ '84 Westy (first owner).......but my daily driver has pedals

Do you think a RS sticker will fix VWJedi's problem?

If VWJedi's Kombi is "Really Slow" then yes, this will warn other drivers and will be a safety upgrade.
If VWJedi can take a photo straight on and then measure and locate the holes with dimensions (from the lower right of the rear hatch), then I'll crank out a special "RS" sticker to cover up the holes! Done. |

when i was in spain last year, i saw a green vanagon that had a aftermarket or dealer option emblem instead of the vanagon script... it said camper, same font and everything. pretty sweet. i will see if i can scrounge up on of the pictures. _________________ Champagne Edition Roadtrip monster "Juakali"
