Great time yesterday. I found some perfect turn signal assemblies for my 68 bug that are the correct 68-69.

I posted some pics in the gallery of the show.

The swap was really disappointing. No real bus stuff, just piles of junk everywhere. It was a nice day though.

I think the motto of this years show would be, "quantity not quality."

Picking up my $50 OG Mahle 914 2.0 liter alloys from a buddy of mine who'd found them in Eugene was my highlight.... that's my deal for the decade, most likely! Smile

Assisting with parking for general admission was a royal pain in the ass... the track people need to figure out a more organized approach that allows people to leave as well as enter, as I had three people getting pissy with me and people trying to leave as the entry road into the general parking area crowded with those showing up. Three pissy people out of probably 200 cars isn't too bad, I guess. Lol.

I had a good time just looking everything over. As the rims were my primary score, I wasn't really looking for much. I did pick up some spare oil change gasket kits and valve cover gaskets, as these true necessities for a daily driver aren't readily available here in Lakeview.

I think that depends on your definition of quality. If a guy gets to go to several shows a year where there is a definitive variance in the quality of cars and available parts, its' a different story than, say, myself, who gets to go to one show a year due to where he lives. Lol.

I dunno, for me -- and of course, I wasn't looking for anything specific in the swap, as the show was a pickup point for my rims -- it was a great time, as I haven't seen a turnout like that at an Oregon VW show in years.

It also depends on what you are looking for. If you were looking for late model parts, you probably had a great day.

I guess I was the lucky one, then. Got a set of chrome Hella amber foglamps for my Mercedes bus, a complete set of Type 34 inner panels in GREAT condition including pockets WITH armrests like NOS and a set of OE VW speakers in the rear panels, a pair of nice rebuildable Solexes with linkage, a super clean early T3 fuel pump with a pristine plastic dome top, an early pushbutton dash switch assembly for a Type 3 which tests good with a VOM, two bags full of original T3 clips, and a rear "beak" for an early Notch decklid.... all for $180.00! Shocked

How the hell did I miss all you people?
