I'm trying to figure out what this head is off of. I got it for my 74 and noticed an extra pipe coming from under the valve cover I had never seen before. Am I right in assuming it's some kind of vent/ pcv hose and I should be able to use the head if I block it off?

It does not look odd to me....This is from the type three F.I. engines, used with dual port heads....They were vented by the factory... I thnk the number on the head said "3" for the first number ? I am having trouble reading it,,,but I am 99% sure that is what you have..

| Someone has suggested to me to vent my heads under the valve cover in hopes of fixing a leaky pushrod tube. Perhaps thats what you've found? |
